Sometimes, a glamorous career conceals some of the darkest tales. A winner of the USA and World competitions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after lots of effort and enormous amount of perseverance. A single mother in a family of five kids, Jones had a difficult and impoverished childhood. The mother of Jones moved around constantly and lived in the church basement. A life of constant movement forced Jones to switch to an entirely new school each year up until her first day of in high school. At Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones resided apart from her mother so that she could take on the track and field events. She had four families throughout her time at high school so that she could study at one location. Jones received her the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Athletics of the Year prize while at school. She was in the school orchestra, being a cello player. Jones was one of the top hurdlers when she started the university. At the 2002 NCAA Track and Field Championships in 2002, Jones took home the 100-meters hurdles. Jones was also a member of the team that finished second for the 100-meter relay. Jones has won indoor hurdles at NCAA championships in 2003 as well as 2004. Jones started her track and field career after she completed her studies at the university. The same year, she was crowned her first Torino Memorial event, and two years later, she won the Ostrava track event as along with the Heusden track race.
Brandt was born within Cape Town South Africa with her siblings and parents and immigrated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand when she was a teenager. Brandt was discovered by casting directors in her home town and was cast in the part of Naevia in the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was one of the most prominent actors in the show, collaborating with Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi. She was a part of the cult Netflix series Lucifer which had a 6 year run playing the fan beloved comic book character from DC/Vertigo Mazikeen. Forbes named Lucifer as the top binge show for 2021. Brandt's next show will be in the six-episode Walking Dead spinoff in 2024 alongside Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. She will also play opposite Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated comedy Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt, a South African actress who was born in Cape town on 2nd of December, 1981. She is a highly skilled New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt, along with her whole family, moved to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. She began her career within Auckland as a retail store owner after which she was promoted to a manager of IT. Lesley is a part of numerous commercial advertisements after a few modeling assignments. In 2008, she graduated from her studies in acting, as well as furthering her education in Meisner techniques of learning. Her first major acting role was on the TV drama Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest performance on New Zealand's Drama Shortland Street acting as support actor. She then appeared in the Sci-Fi action thriller This Is Not My Life that is based upon anecdotal Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia an escaped hostage. She then appeared in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
